ALICA SCHMIDT showed viewers a day in the life of a 2024 Olympics hopeful. The German 4x400m mixed relay runner has a significant online following.
Schmidt, 24, is the "world's sexiest athlete" with 4.4 million Instagram followers. The World Championships in Budapest saw her reach the final.
The team finished sixth as USA won a dramatic race when Netherlands' Femke Bol fell metres from the line. She showed spectators what an athlete's day is like after the World Championships.
She posted a video on Instagram of her amazing breakfast. Following her arrival for training, the clip shows her ice bath and physiotherapy.
Schmit then enjoys lunch and a team meeting before watching the events on TV. She also expressed pride that the squad reached the final and hopes to compete in the Paris Olympics next year.
She said: "I enjoyed competing in Budapest. The team's mixed relay was a big success. "We wanted to reach the final. The last few years were hard.
"We were so pleased of our achievement. Germany has many hardworking young athletes. Hope to grow in the future. Of course, Paris is the target next year. I hope to participate in the mixed and women's 4x400m relay there.
