Nearly two weeks after her hospital admission for a "planned abdominal surgery," Princess Kate has returned home.
Returning to the royal residence in Windsor, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales will resume her recuperation. "She is making good progress," Kensington Palace announced Monday in a statement.
"The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided," according to the statement. The world's well wishes have been much appreciated by the Wales family, and they remain appreciative.
According to Kensington Palace's announcement on January 17, Kate had a "successful" operation on January 16, and she was anticipated to spend 10 to 14 days in the hospital.
Return to public duties is highly doubtful until after Easter, based on the current medical advice," the statement read.
While she was healing, Kate requested seclusion. "She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.
Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5 are the children of the Princess of Wales and Prince William.
In light of Kate's events being rescheduled, the palace extended an apology to everyone impacted. “She is eager to reinstate as many as possible, as quickly as possible," the statement said.
